Deep Diving Into the Analogue World

I am not alone. Despite 60% of the population being active users of social media, I’m uncovering more people rethinking their online lives.

Now my social media is gone, the hole it left behind is being filled with doing. Writing. Reading. Listening to audiobooks. Blogging. Writing letters. But, mostly, there is headspace. To think. The key: create, don’t consume.

There are several themes at play. All separate yet intertwined.

Being less online. Now or never. Downshifting. Essence.

I’m exploring their interconnection. It’s not random that I’m falling down this big rabbit hole.

The internet was said to have shrunk the world. But I think it’s made us all aware of the minutiae. We need to know the detail of the immediate world so that we can take care of our own communities. Local responses to solve local problems.
